Full Counter-Current Wet Drum Magnetic Separator

Working Principle The slurry feed direction is opposite to the drum rotation. Pulp is fed directly into the separation zone beneath the drum; non-magnetic or weakly magnetic particles pass through the entire magnetic system and are discharged via tailings holes at the far end of the tank floor, while magnetic particles are carried counter-current to the feed direction and delivered to the concentrate discharge launder.

Application Roughing and scavenging of strongly magnetic minerals sized 3–0 mm; recovery of ferrosilicon/magnetite in coal heavy-media circuits.

Semi Counter-Current Wet Drum Magnetic Separator

Working Principle Slurry first enters the lower part of the tank, then the separation zone; the feed direction is essentially the same as the magnetic attractive force. Magnetic particles are easily attracted to the drum surface, transported to the weak-magnetic edge of the system and dropped into the concentrate box. Non-magnetic or weakly magnetic particles move counter to the drum rotation, exit through rectangular slots on the tank floor, thus maintaining a constant slurry level and allowing adjustable working gap.
